Power to the People!

Monday, March 17th, 2008

Thanks to the crowd at the Happy Gnome’s Firkin Fest! Darkness, Tea-Bagged Furious and Oak-Aged Bender took #1, #2 and #3 in the people choice awards. Congrats to Summit and Bells for taking the judges awards. See you next year.

Cask Darkness?#@!#

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

That’s right, the first ever cask-conditioned Darkness will be poured this Sunday at the Happy Gnome’s Firkin Fest. The beer is the 2008 darkness that was brewed 3 weeks ago. We have never poured Darkness from the cask, so it will be interesting to see what this beer tastes like this young.
Oh yeah, Tea-Bagged Furious and Oak-Aged Bendxer also.

What else is going on. Well, we continue to work on our expansion project. Our 6 tanks ship this week and we will get tours going again shortly after the tanks show up.

We were pretty pleased that Tea-Bagged Furious won Champion Real Ale of Chicagoland for 2008! Sweet.
